Hadron is a Gentoo based binary and portable Linux operating system. The aim of this project is to create a powerful, optimized, modular, reliable and stable GNU/Linux distribution. Portability is major feature of Hadron. Basically Hadron is a live Linux distribution which is developed to run on USB sticks. Nevertheless, Hadron can also run on hard disk and cdrom as well. The system uses a new package manager called lpms.

News: Great improvements for Linux Mangoes!

With the introduction of openSuse 11.3 a new build is in testing with Enlightenment (e17). Benefits over the use of 11.2: smaller build (removal of extra unecessary dependencies), touchscreen support, and bugs fixes.

eXPress-linux is an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution that aims to be lightning fast and easy on system resources. It uses the LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) desktop.
eXPress-linux is a system ready to use because it comes with a selection of the best common applications and it is updated at Kernel Linux 2.6.32-23-generic. eXPress-linux also includes all the codecs and media players needed for a good multimedia experience.

Netlive is a slightly unusual distribution developed in Italy: a live version of Linux that makes available on demand any other live version of Linux chosen by its administrators to all the computers of its local network. Its developers, Ezio Da Rin and Marco Clocchiatti, call Netlive "a very efficient way to build portable ICT labs for schools, alternative to the Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP)".
The practical advantages of Netlive for end users, that is schools and students, have been already explained elsewhere. This page, instead, explains Netlive's internal architecture and what makes it different from LTSP.

Wires Cut Linux is a Live CD tool for software development in disconnected, interrupted, and low-bandwidth (DIL) environments. It is a custom version of Xubuntu with built-in support for databases, web servers, and several programming languages.
