"SAM is a Linux Live CD, that means after turning on the computer it is booting directly from cd and you can work without ever touch the harddisks.
SAM is a complete desktop system: it contains programs for daily work (i.e. OpenOffice, PDF-viewer, Printer support, scanning...), for multimedia (i.e. MPlayer Movie Player, MP3-Player, CD-Ripper, TV-Tools...), graphics (i.e. Gthumb, Gimp, Sodipodi...), amusement (around 40 games from 2d to 3d, some desktop enhancements...), for work with the internet (i.e. Mozilla Browser, Thunderbird and Evolution Mail, Wireless, File Sharing tools, Chat...) and much more helpful software."
