"This is Puppeee with Eee-specific functionality removed and a full size kernel and a full Xorg 7.6.

The current kernel version is 2.6.34.7.

This has the Xorg from Quirky. All the video drivers and Mesa are installed.

Fluppy Features:

-Suspend and Hibernate support (can be problematic on some hardware - so no promises at this point)
-Acpi support including automatic power management when you plug or unplug, suspend when you shut the lid or press the sleep button, poweroff when you press the power button. (Also may or may not work depending on hardware)
-Bluetooth Applet
-Pwireless2
-Google Chrome Browser
-Three Window managers: IceWM, OpenBox, Flwm
-Three Desktops: ROX, PCManFM, and LxLauncher
-Based on 4.3.1 with many updates and bug fixes
-Many applications added with netbook usage in mind
-Applications are mostly small screen friendly"

Two, the default internal browser has been changed to a splendidly small version of Midori built by Puppy’s technosaurus. Three, there are a number of bugfixes included from Instant Update 003 (for 5.1): provides libjpeg7, laptop function keys, configures Sylpheed email, fixes USB bootflash, links fsck, Arabic and Hebrew fonts, links to libfaad and libx264 for xfce, browser link to Lupu News."

Quirky 1.2

"Barry Kauler, the founder of Puppy Linux and Woof, created Quirky as an avenue to explore new ideas. There may be some features in this distro that you won't find in other puppies, either different applications and utilities, different system scripts/behaviour, or even some fundamentally new underlying behaviour. This is very much a moving target. Quirky is currently built from packages compiled in T2. Some of the ideas may be a bit strange, hence the name "Quirky"!

Quirky is built from a "Puppy builder" system named Woof (http://bkhome.org/woof), which can build a Puppy Linux distribution from the binary packages of any other distro.

Quirky 1.2
This continues bug fixing of 1.0/1.1, but also many packages are upgraded and new packages and ideas incorporated. In particular, a wider range of video/audio formats are supported, which is the main reason the live-CD iso file is a little bigger. There is now a very small HTML viewer for displaying local help files -- this has basic CSS support.
